Katelin Holloway is Founding Partner at Alexis Ohanian’s venture capital firm 776. Based in San Francisco, California, Katelin actively invests in early stage technology companies, manages the firm’s operations, oversees the portfolio & founder outcomes teams, and leads investor relations.

Having spent her early career at Pixar Animation Studios, Katelin brings over 15 years of experience in building and scaling teams, products, and cultures to the world of venture. As a former senior executive at influential startups such as Klout and Reddit, Katelin has a unique perspective on the intersection of people and technology. Leveraging her skills and credentials in human resources, business operations, and culture building, she is committed to helping evolve the next generation of entrepreneurs and the broader venture ecosystem.

Katelin joined the Initialized team at the start of 2020, translating her decade-long operator experience and successful angel investing habit into a new career as a venture capitalist.

From the basics of recruiting and talent development, to formally habilitating these functions in-house with their first head of people, Katelin acted as a strategic counselor to Initialized's founders through the most challenging months of the COVID pandemic in 2020.

Former VP of People & Culture at Reddit, Katelin lead the HR, Recruiting, and Experience teams from 2016 to 2020, growing the company from 75 to nearly 750 employees internationally.

Of all of the work the People & Culture teams did during her tenure at Reddit, Katelin is most proud of the cultural transformation that took place under her leadership. The culture she inherited reflected some of the lowest morale in Silicon Valley. The turnaround was a quick and fantastic feat, landing Reddit on some of the most coveted employer lists year after year, including ranking in the Top 20 Companies to Work For In Tech and coming in at #4 Top Private Employer Brands to Work For in 2019. Community and belongingness were rated the highest factors for employee engagement and retention.
